This privacy notice explains how Sunil Swaroop (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects and uses personal information when you use sunilmusician.co.uk (the “Site”). It is written for this website in clear language. It is not formal legal advice; you can ask a solicitor to review it if you need a formal opinion.

I am the data controller for personal information collected through this Site.

Depending on how you use the Site, I may process:

• Contact and booking enquiries – name, email address, enquiry type, event details (for example date, location, guest count, message), and any other information you choose to include.
• Newsletter signup – email address, so I can send occasional updates about new music and gig dates.
• Technical data – basic server or hosting logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) that hosting providers may keep for security and reliability. This Site does not currently run its own analytics or advertising trackers.

I do not collect payment card details through this Site. Any fees for bookings are arranged separately (for example by invoice or bank transfer) after we agree terms in writing.

3. Why I use your information (and lawful bases)

• To reply to contact, press or booking enquiries – so I can respond and, where relevant, take steps toward a booking. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, and where needed steps toward a contract.
• To send the newsletter – only if you join the list. Lawful basis: consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing me.
• To run and protect the Site – security, abuse prevention and basic operations via hosting. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

4. Who I share information with

I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

I may share information only as needed with:

• Email and hosting providers – for example Gmail and the company that hosts this website, so messages and the Site can function.
• Professional advisers or authorities – if required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.
• Streaming and video platforms – only if you choose to play an embedded Spotify or YouTube player. Those companies then process data under their own privacy policies.

5. How long I keep information

• Enquiries – kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for ordinary business records (for example follow-up about a possible booking). I delete or anonymise messages when they are no longer needed.
• Newsletter – until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove your email.
• Hosting logs – according to the host’s normal retention settings.

6. Cookies and embedded players

This Site does not set first-party tracking or advertising cookies for analytics.

Music and video embeds (for example Spotify and YouTube) use a click-to-load approach. Players are not autoplayed. If you choose to play embedded content, those services may set their own cookies or similar technologies and collect data under their policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect embedded players.

This Site is aimed at adults arranging music, bookings and related enquiries. It is not directed at children under 13. Please do not submit a child’s personal information through the forms.
